The Founder

Rehabilitation specialist, Loicia Johnson, qualified from the University of Greenwich with a 1st class BSc (hons) degree in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation. In conjunction with this, she’s also a qualified animal physiotherapist from The College of Animal Physiotherapy and human sports massage practitioner.

​

 

Expanding on her degree, Loicia has spent time in veterinary practices including Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic, with years of experience running yards within and outside of the rehab industry sector. She holds certification in Swimming horses for rehabilitation and fitness purposes, along with aqua tread-milling and saltwater spas. She is further progressing her knowledge at the University of Edinburgh, studying MSc Masters in Equine Science and will be following on to do her Ph.D.

Her past research has already been presented in Australia and won an award for "Dedication to Animal Welfare" in 2018. In 2022 she was awarded her Masters (MSc) in Equine Science from the University of Edinburgh.

​

2023 was an exciting year, research that Loicia performed with the University of Edinburgh was accepted for the International Conference of Canine Equine Locomotion in The Netherlands, Utrecht. Loicia had a fantastic time presenting at the conference and if you want to read more about the research then please follow the link before to page 44 where you can read the published abstract.
